Ahora quiero concentrarme en la música popular, puedo citar algunos géneros que me llaman la atención, tal es como merengue, merengue urbano, bachata, bachata pop, dembow, balada pop, y me doy cuenta de esa música, que supuestamente se comenta o se habla de crisis musical, en realidad esos ritmos musicales nunca mueren. Pero también tengo que referirme a las cantantes que actualmente le están dando vigencia a esa música en R.D., como por ejemplo Miriam Cruz, Milly Quezada, Alexa, Juliana, Jackeline Estévez, Mayuri Reyna, entre otras. Y porque me refiero solamente a las damas? Porque son las más sacrificadas y combatientes para mantener nuestro ritmos musicales en el gusto de nuestra gente para la alegría y el deleite de todos

Cada artista tiene su momento, y cada una de las exponentes citadas ha sabido mantener con alta calidad y orgullo su vigencia musical, siendo el común denominador de todas, una trayectoria clara y definida que la hacen merecedoras del respeto de todos los que hemos tenido la oportunidad de disfrutar de su talento. Este es el caso de Milly Quezada, la reina del merengue, sabemos que llegue quien llegue siempre será la reina. Así mismo Alexa, la cantante con mejor trayectoria y mercadeo de estos tiempos, paso a paso escalando el gusto popular. Juliana, la reina del mambo, derroche de carisma y calidad. Mayuri Reyna calidad y ejemplo a seguir por los jóvenes artistas. Jackeline Estévez, una de las voces más privilegiadas de todos los tiempos.

Y así sucesivamente todas ellas, incluyendo Miriam Cruz, merecen respeto a su nombre y a su carrera porque han sabido trabajar con mucho sacrificio para ganarse el lugar en el que se encuentra, y lo más importante es que representan dignamente el talento dominicano, paseando su arte orgullosamente por todo el mundo.
